It's Saturday!
And that means I will be working until 10 tonight. In better news, I finally got my post average up to one per week. Stacey also got a blog at staceys_spot.blogspot.com. She already has links and stuff in it and I still can't figure out how to do one. *sigh* I am sooo behind the times. In a desperate attempt to draw more comments, please answer the following question: Should the government require bikers and skateboarders to wear helmets or other safety gear?

No, The government does not need to protect us from ourselves. While I do think all skateboarders and bikers should wear helmets, the government does not need to tell us how to run our personal lives. People who are smart will wear a helmet anyway and the others, well... just take my statement to its logical conclusion.
No the government shouldn't meddle in our lives and require us to wear helments. However anyone that chooses not to wear a helmet, probably does not have anything in there to protect!
I like what you say Brian. Who is anonymous? You didn't leave your name.
I would agree with Brian. I don't think the government has a right to meddle with our personal lives. Next thing you know the government will be dictating what we eat for breakfast!
Wearing a helmet is smart. The government could support helmet awareness or helmet education. That would be good and even helpful. But making it a law isn’t necessary. Those who don't wear helmets might just be eliminated from the gene pool!
no
No Way, the government is already way to restrictive and controlling. The feds should take away all their dumb laws and states as well (although states should be a little more controlling than federal) then all the dumb people that the dumb laws protect would die off or get smart really fast and the world would be a better place. But I really didn't need to say this because you all said it already.
